Welcome to deniken.org

I spent a fair bit of my time creating websites for other people and have been thinking about creating my own site for a long time.  I finally took the plunge while registering another domain to create this domain as well.  Someone already owns deniken.com and deniken.net (more like a domain squatter, long story) so this was all that was available, I like it.  So to the purpose, they are in no particular order:

My thoughts and ideas

I don’t have many of them, but when I do I’ll but them down here on my blog.  I admit I am a random blogger, I don’t know how some people find the time to blog their every stray thought... they must have a laptop permanently attached to their umm, lap.  I will try to keep my blog updated, but no promises.

Photos and videos of my family

I am very fortunate to be married to a wonderful woman who as given my four beautiful kids... so I will do my best to upload images (still and moving) of them on a regular basis... can’t promise many of myself since I am the one behind the camera (I like it that way).

Genealogy

I’ve been told by my family that anyone who has the surname “Deniken” is somehow related to me, however distantly.  I am really interested in connecting the branches of my family tree.  If you happen to come across this site by googling your last  name, please email me and let’s see if we are somehow related to one another.

That's about it for now... enjoy the site, email me with comments or suggestions on how to improve the site anytime.

welcome to the world as seen through my eyes

My favorite quote:

"The concept of repaying debts of gratitude is a distinctive theme that runs throughout the Buddhist teachings.  At its root lies the principle of dependent origination — that nothing exists alone, that all things are intrinsically interrelated and influence one another.  Based on this perspective, each of us exists as we are today thanks to the help and support of a great many people.   Therefore, it is only natural to have appreciation and gratitude, not only for our parents, but for all people."
